Placenta encapsulation?

Has anyone tried placenta encapsulation before? I’ve heard there’s lots of benefits but not sure how safe / effective it is.

I did it, I used a company called placenta plus. I didn’t start it until 17 days after my little one arrived due to him being in NICU and the logistics of getting my pills to the hospital and i noticed a huge difference as soon as I started then. My milk supply increased, my mood was better and my energy was unbelievable. I used a company called placenta plus they were incredible and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Definitely recommend it. My mum had pnd and have had mh issues a lot in the past so I decided to try it. I didnt get depressed. 2 weeks after the birth is when they say it can all start up. I started taking mine as soon as he was born, as advised by the lady I used, cos the birth was traumatic. I felt great. At one point I stopped taking them and I started feeling really low. Started back again and felt fine. I wudnt say it was a placebo thing cos half the time I cudnt even remember my name back then let alone remember I was taking tablets. I had mine turned into an oil too for things like nappy rash and a homeopathic thing which lasts longer and can be take during menopause.

Yes I did encapsulation and smoothies with my last placenta. Noticed a difference in my recovery such as reduced blood loss, no bloating/constipation and postnatal depression etc (suffered previously). I also had lots of energy and I recovered internally very quickly compared to my first birth. I definitely recommend doing it. Animals have been eating their placenta for years because its not only instinctive but it helps them recover from birth quickly.

I used placenta plus- best thing ever Danielle was so helpful I’m doing mine again!! www.placentaplus.co.uk

I’m keen, my doula offers it as a service. I have also heard that it’s a fad with little evidence so I’d like to read more. Great to hear these positive experiences here.

My midwife said it can be great for the few days after birth, but advised me not to take them beyond that as it’s pregnancy hormones and although some people still have good (or more) milk supply whilst taking capsules for a month, others can’t get enough milk, animals eat their placenta in the wild yes, but within hours / days, not for 30 days after birth, the body gets confused and then there’s a marked difference when coming off them, suddenly feeling blue etc. it’s what I’ve been told but obviously I’m no expert, just learning and discovering etc. keen to know more!

Thanks for recommendations ❤️ Have ordered steamed placenta pills and tincture from placenta plus, thought worth a go will see how I get on and stop if not feeling good with them
