Would you send your child…

Would you send your child to a school where none of the other kids looked like him ? I don’t wanna sound ignorant but I went to visit a couple schools for my child who will be starting prek 3 in September, I loved the schools that I toured BUT …. One thing that did stand out to me was there were no black kids or teachers. I went to 3 different schools and it was all the same thing. They were sort of diverse(I did see a lot of other race children) . I kind of don’t want this to be a deciding factor for me but it is something to keep in mind. I LOVED everything else about these schools. Would you guys send your child to a school that doesn’t have their race there ?

I would rather a diverse school for my son so I understand where u are coming from. May I ask where u are located?

My son goes to school with only one black girl in his group. Everyone likes that girl, I don’t think she feels uncomfortable or different. They’re friends with my son as well. I wouldn’t worry about this at all. I don't think kids this age can be racist

@Margarita I dnt think she’s saying the kids would be racist of course not they are innocent kids.and she asked would u send ur child to a school that doesn’t have their race there ?

@hersheyI would. Don’t think I would care about this. As for me, it's silly to pay attention to race in our time. Maybe I'm wrong. It's my opinion

I went to school in Midwest where majority of the kids didn’t look anything like me. I think it helped be stronger and accept that it’s okay to be different.
