Try the hula burping method. My baby loves it
It might just be because the gas is uncomfortable? Sometimes he wines until the burp comes up
Mine screams every time we try and burp her our pediatrician suggested we wait till the end of a feed to burp her, I don't love that advice so we just talk calmly to her and if she's too out of control we continue to feed her but the talking calmly seems to help a lot
What happens if you don’t burp her? There’s some research showing babies actually spit up less if you don’t burp them and just sit them upright, they’ll burp on their own if they really need to. It probably varies baby to baby, but my daughter did better once I stopped burping her. Might be worth a shot
It’s weird but my son is a stubborn burper but if I put him on his butt, supporting his head and back and kind of lean him forward and rub the palm of my hand against his back he does a big burp!
Burp at every ounce (pace Feed) and have her upright 10-15mins after to endure digestion..just took my son to the Dr for this because he vomits at every feed and it sounded like he was gasping and choking for air. We also feed him 3.5 versus 4oz at the moment to help with it. So far it’s working.. he is fussy and upset he has to burp every ounce but I rather that than spit up
Thank you everyone for your responses! I have tried a few things and I’ve found that if I hold her upright and gently bounce her, that will get some burps out. It’s just impossible to catch the spit up that way so it can be messy
Aw no 😟 you can try the sitting up burp on your lap. Google it. Recently my baby cries when I lift her on my chest to burp too and it breaks my heart. She used to be fine before.
