Can she say any words just not strung many together? What did your pediatrician say at her last visit?

An evaluation is best, even if she has a delay getting the evaluation will tell you exactly which areas she needs a bit more help. Having speech will be able to get her caught up. The earlier it's caught and dealt with the better so good job not waiting until she is in school!

My daughter just started talking she’s been in speech therapy since July. It used to be little words that only I could understand but now it came out as like word vomit to her. They told me that sometimes they can get confused, if more than one language is spoken in the household, but every kid is different

My son has been in speech therapy since June-ish and has really just started to try to talk more and try to mimic what we say. Honestly, we almost expected something weird with speech when we had a newborn at the start of COVID and he just never went anywhere for that first year or so. But he was actually reevaluated on Wednesday to see about potentially starting preschool with an IEP for speech.

My son had a speech delay at 2. I got him evaluated and he was approved for early intervention. After about six months he had constant ear infections. He had ear surgery in September for ear tubes at CHOP and he immediately started talking ! He is still developing his speech as he just turned 3, but I highly recommend your daughter be evaluated (not by EI as she is 3 but by special services and a pediatric ENT. Is she developing well in fine and gross motor? It may seem scary but an evaluation can really help assess and uncover what is keeping her from talking. I hope this helps!
