Do you tumble dry baby clothes ?

I’ve just bought a tumble dryer and I know most baby clothes say ‘tumble dry low’ but I’ve never had a tumble dryer before, my mum never had one because she said they shrink clothes.
I’m new to tumble drying please don’t judge 😅

I tumble dry everything of my LO's aslong as it says you can, they shrink them slightly but not by much

Yes! Only way she would have clean clothes the way she goes through them 🤣

Ok thanks, how long do you put a load of baby clothes on the low setting for?

No because a bunch of my babies vests shrunk

Mine doesn't have a time on it but try about 45 mins and see how it is after. It depends how much you have in there really

My own mother shrunk my baby vests! I've never tumble dried babies clothes over this exact fear that eventually she'll end up with none if my mother has her own way of drying everything 🤣🤣

We tumble dry all babies clothes as we get through so many. We would have no space otherwise. Tumble dryer has been a god send. We got it just before baby arrived

Yeah sometimes just for 5 minutes or so to soften them up x

We wouldn't survive without ours, between poop and reflux she gets through so much washing! I'm assuming yours is a manual timer rather than an automatic setting? Our auto one takes just under 3 hours to get fully dry, 1.5 hours to get iron dry, but it is a combo washer/dryer, which aren't always the most efficient. If you have the patience, experiment a bit, just put a few things on for an hour or whatever and see how that comes out. But muslins do definitely shrink, so don't put them in (pretty sure it says that on the label anyway) same with wool.

When I get texts like these they feel invalidating. My sister and mom seem to think I’m perfectly fine. But little do they know I’m dying in the inside I have severe PPD. And honestly I have it together around them cause time I tried talking about these allegations when I was BEARLY a month PP my sister judged me wholeheartedly to the point where I had just wished I was silent and had said nothing. My mom does not care all she’ll hear are complaints and snatch my baby out of my arms so I can go “rest” but that’s not what I need… I need someone to talk about these feelings with, comfort, a helping hand when it comes to house work, or offering to pick up dinner or my groceries that are paid for all you need to do is drive up and text that your in parking spot ___.

When she snatches my baby out of arms I get upset and cry cause I wanna hold my baby I just need help with myself not the baby…. When I cry my mom orders me to rest but I can’t rest cause I just wanna hold my baby and talk to an actual person who is not a therapist about my struggles and get help. I try to tell my mom that I need that she doesn’t listen and only offers help for the baby so I can go that on my own…. I’m begging for help it feels like and no one helps or even wants to.

I’m hesitant on how to answer back to my sister as she is 1 of my 3 bosses and can fire me for whatever reason since it’s a self business thingy. She’s done it before and didn’t allow me to be in her son my nephews life for 6 whole months only cause I was talking about how bad of day I had and that I wish I was at home in bed alone but I’m here and ready to work…. Can’t talk to my mom obviously…. How do I answer back without being too “nasty”

Anyone else feeling this way? Or can relate to some or most of this?

Feeling guilty about stopping breastfeeding

I’m 5 week PP and have had mastitis twice, the first time resulted in hospital admission. I’m express breast feeding due to poor latch etc. I have such nipple trauma and pain which is not healing. I can’t bring myself to make the decision to stop breast feeding due to a feeling of guilt and failure. Any one else been through this?

So I stopped BF at 3 weeks old and I stopped for 2 reasons

1) I hated what it was doing to my boobs and wanted one thing for myself since all of me belonged to my child
**(I know some of you may think that’s selfish on my part but my baby was strong and healthy and I asked my doctor what they thought before I stopped)**

2) i was going back to work and didn’t wanna stop working and go and pump every two hours because my work place was pretty fast paced and I didn’t wanna do that and it took about 45 minutes for me to set up and pump and then take everything down.

I want to restart since I am now a sahm.
Has anyone ever stopped and restarted after a few months??? If you did how was it? What did you do to restart your supply??

Sleep training

So how old was everyone’s babies when they started to sleep in their own rooms?? My son is two months and I’m curious

Day starts at 2am with 5 week old

My 5 week old will go to sleep after a feed around 10/10:30pm BEAUTIFULLY. However once she has woken around 1:30-2am and we have changed and fed her (in low red light, no talking etc), she will be put down for all of 15 minutes before she is loudly grunting which leads to crying. It's worth saying that we are having to keep her upright for 20-30 minutes after each feed due to reflux.

She has recently been diagnosed with CMPA and has been moved onto prescribed milk with gaviscon for her reflux. We thought the discomfort from that was keeping her up but it isn't.
We are really struggling with this wake up time. Once we've spent an hour or two trying to get her back to sleep, one of us is forced to get up for the day with her around 4am.

I know she's very young, but any tips for getting her back down after that middle of the night feed would be greatly appreciated just to get a little more sleep.
