Sperm count and IUI

Anyone have success with IUI with sperm count at 10 million after washing? Our first round of IUI failed with 46 million and I'm at my second round now but his counts were only 10 million this time.

I dont have an answer for you but I find it interesting that you got a number for the sperm count at the time of the sperm washing for the IUI. My office said they don't do that analysis when performing the IUI and I thought that was a widely accepted practice. Didnt know you could count them post washing

@Cassandra the paper she gave me shows the pre-wash and post wash values for: volume, count, motility, and progression. The lab tech told me they don't do morphology on washing though. But they have to know those numbers because of the count is below 10, they won't do the IUI that day since there's no point.

@Mallory I didn't get a paper. And no numbers. If the 2nd IUI I am doing now fails I'm gonna get a second doctor's opinion. Starting to doubt my doctors

It only takes one. Are you triggering around ovulation or doing a natural cycle?

I think 10-20 million post wash is considered normal.

@Jess I was on letrozole for day 5-10 then did the Ovidrel trigger shot 2 days before the IUI. But I'm glad you told me 10 million is normal!

@Cassandra I totally would!!

@Mallory they don't do the morphology analysis on the wash?
