First IUI
Tomorrow is my first IUI- after three years of trying and medicated cycles, I finally feel a light at the end of the tunnel. I know everyone is different, but how painful was your IUI? My doctor assured me it isn’t painful and it won’t be like my HSG (which was excruciating and the worst pain I’ve ever been in).

@Francesca Oh good! That’s what my doctor shared with me, too! Glad to hear your experiences weren’t painful.
Before my first IUI, my Dr told me it feels like a pap (uncomfortable with a slight pinching) and after 2 IUIs, I think she was spot on.
@Mallory I would agree- the beginning felt like a Pap smear! To be honest, when she said all done, I didn’t even know the catheter went in😂 Which after the HSG catheter, I can’t complain!
So was your iui successful
@Parsa It was not, and neither was the one after that. Preparing for new protocol this cycle with a third IUI, and then consultation for IVF.

Hi ! I had three rounds of iui and honestly didn't find it any worse than a smear, nowhere near as intense as your hsg test. Fingers crossed for you x
