laparoscopy and IVF

I had laparoscopy surgery almost 2 years ago. I was told both tubes were blocked, however i was also told my endometriosis was removed and IVF was the only option to conceive. My pain subsided for a while but its come back again with super sharp pains, just as I am mid-cycle in IVF. Has anyone else conceived with IVF and endo, or any positive success of natural conception or having tubes unblocked. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences. Its always nice to hear from others when I feel defeated 😞

I'm 29 weeks pregnant after my 3rd round of fresh IVF transfers. I had completely written off my last cycle as everything that could go wrong did. On the first day of my period, I was due to take Zoladex which was meant to stop my period as well as the endo from growing and then I'd start IVF a month later. I ended up in A&E with severe abdominal pain which turned out to be a hemorrhage in my endometrioma. Once I left A&E, my FIL injected me with the Zoladex and I started my cycle in August as normal but developed a soya intolerance as well as other side effects. Then when it came to egg collection, they only collected 2 eggs of which 1 fertilised amd they transferred. I'm due on the 2nd of June however it looks likely I'll be needing a C section 2 weeks earlier because I have placenta previa which is common with IVF pregnancies. I wish you the best of luck x

Thank you for sharing your story and some hope! To go through all of that you truly are a warrior. Im so glad you never gave up and was finally gifted the baby you deserve. Wishing you all the best for your birth and recovery 💕

We were TTC for 2 years and 3 months in total. I had the surgery (stage 2 and both my fallopian tubes were blocked) at the start of September and felt really disheartened after I had my 3 month check up post op and we weren’t pregnant as she said I would hope most people after having the tubes flushed out would be pregnant within 3 -6 months and she just said well IVF it is then. She said keep trying in the mean time but IVF is what is recommended now. We fell pregnant in feb (6 months post op) and I’m currently 10 1/2 weeks pregnant - naturally! I felt so sad after my follow up appointment following surgery so incase you feel this way, I thought I would give you our positive ending 🫶🏻
