Heated blankets

I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been using a heated blanket consistently at night because I’m chilled often. It wasn’t until just now I realized that could cause over heating like hot baths/hot tub. What are the chances I could have caused harm to baby? 😭 has anyone else’s doctor told them no to heated blankets?

You definitely won’t cause harm to the baby. You’ll be fine. You’ll wake up and move the blankets if you get hot. You and baby will be fine. I’ve used it sometimes too because of being freezing haha. I still take warm/hot showers. I just don’t stay in long or once I start getting really hot I just get out

I think the rule is if it’s too hot for you it’s too hot for baby. If it was too hot for you you’d move the blanket and uncover yourself so I wouldn’t worry

No heated blanket gets hot enough to cause that thankfully. I used one every night my first two trimesters and I’m at 38 weeks with no issues. Everything will be alright keep yourself comfy girl 🖤

Thank you everyone! I appreciate the reassurance. I felt awful when I was told that by someone and read some articles saying not to use them. I love my heated blanket and never thought about not using it during pregnancy. Lol
