Baby dropping percentiles and not gaining enough weight

Hi all! My baby will be 7 weeks tomorrow. She was born at 7lb and 6oz, dropped to 6lb 12 oz for hospital discharge. Her 5-week appointment checkup was 8 lb 12 oz, which landed her in the 27th percentile. We had to go to the doctor for an unrelated reason (not a standard checkup appointment) and they weighed her today at 9 lb 2 oz, making her in the 15th percentile range. Has this happened to anyone else? She is gaining weight, but not enough to follow her growth chart. She is also sleeping more at night, which means she’s feeding less. She went from 10 feeds a day to 8 feeds a day. Could this be a contributor? Would love to know if anyone is in a similar boat and what they did to help weight gain?

Personally, I am demand feeding and although he lost weight in the beginning after about four weeks, he was in the 30th percentile and now at eight weeks. He's at the 50th percentile. Sometimes babies go through growth spurts, and sometimes they take a little longer. Unless your healthcare provider is worried about it, I wouldn't stress over it just keep feeding her whenever she needs it.

My little guy has kinda been the opposite, came early and small then lost even more and was down-to the 3rd percentile and now has me going crazy as he is cluster feeding all the time so I never get a break, but he’s shot up in size. But I will say even when he was at the 3rd percentile they weren’t worried and just said keep feeding him whenever he wants. So, she might just be a little cookie. But if you’re worried check with pediatrician.

Baby finally made it to his birth weight (8lbs) at his one month appointment then gained 24 ozs two weeks later. I EBF.

My baby only takes 6 bottles a day and is still growing and gaining plenty. Did your doctor make any suggestions? We did have a similar situation around 5 weeks. He’s breastfed so Dr suggested pumping and bottle feeding for a week to make sure he was getting enough and he started gaining weight like crazy. If your LO is breastfed maybe try that?
