I had thin lining during the initial monitoring and I drank lots of pomegranate juice. I dont kno if that was what helped but my lining started improving with each scan after that and finally had my procedure.

I had three canceled transfers in a row because of thin lining. It is so disappointing. After the third I decided to take a couple of months off and let my body reset without meds and try acupuncture. I’m hoping to get to do it at the end of May. Is your lining typically thin or is this a new issue?

I had one cancelled transfer so far. Been doing acupuncture, also drinking raspberry leaf tea, hot foot soaks. Apparently my uterus had spasms so I’ve been drinking powder magnesium as well to calm things down. After resting 1 month, I did it again, my doctor upp’d my estrodial and had me take low dose aspirin. Had my transfer on Monday. Everyone’s case is different though, hope these ideas help!

My lining got nice and thick once I started on viagra pessaries which my clinic prescribed. I did Brazil nuts, pomegranate, iron tablets, exercise, L-arganine, and definitely acupuncture! Again I’m not sure if any of the natural stuff helped but mine stuck but unfortunately at 10 weeks I had a miscarriage

@Alex it was something new last year for my last FET so we decided to take a break to let my body rest and was suppose to have an other transfer early May but yesterday my ultrasound was showing very thin lining (3,8). Doctor has decided to increase my estradiol for next cycle but yeah I don’t know what’s happening, my cycle have been getting longer as well lately

@Lauren i’am so sorry about your miscarriage 😔 I will try acupuncture with next cycle 🤞

Hi, I’m so sorry yours was cancelled, it’s so frustrating. My first attempt at FET was cancelled too as my lining stubbornly refused to grow beyond 6mm. That was medicated with suprecur downregulation and progynova oestrogen tablets, plus we tried adding in oestrogen patches for a few days but it made no difference. This time we tried a totally different protocol, almost like mini IVF: low dose FSH to make several follicles grow, so they produced oestrogen to make my lining grow. It got to 7.1mm pretty quickly so we are going ahead with the transfer soon. When my first one wasn’t working I asked about it on here and several other ladies had similar stories of not reacting to synthetic oestrogen tablets but it being ok when they tried a protocol that basically enhances your natural hormones. Don’t know what protocol you’re on but maybe worth exploring a different one. Good luck x

@Marion I know how frustrating that is. My lining was totally fine for my IUIs but got weird after egg retrieval. My body didn’t seem to like the estrogen. I tried both pills and injections and my lining was just getting thinner. When I decided to take a break I also started acupuncture. I asked my clinic to monitor me without the meds to see what my body did on its own. The first cycle my lining only got to 4.5. Then I got another period and the ultrasound showed that my lining went up to 7.7 so I don’t know if it was my body finally just getting my normal period back or if the one session of acupuncture and diet changes had an impact. My doctor was pretty stumped on why that all happened but is pleased with what I had last cycle so I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to do a natural FET cycle with my next period. I hope the increased meds work for you. Feel free to message if you want to chat more.

I have exactly the same story as @Emily and it stuck! Definitely worth exploring this protocol if you haven’t already.

After trying 2 medicated cycles with my lining only reaching a 5.0 my doctor switched up my 3rd cycle to a modified natural cycle. At home I tried everything! With the 3rd cycle the highest it ever got was a 5.8mm and we decided to go through with the transfer. My doc seems to think it’s naturally thin. It was a success and today I have a beautiful healthy 8 month old boy. Ya know every pregnancy is different and every women is different…I honestly know what you are going through physically, mentally and emotionally and all I say is trust your body…don’t loose hope and have faith. Sending prayers and hugs to you xx

The successful cycle I did try seed cycling. I don’t know if that did it but I have a feeling it helped

Was it a medicated or natural FET? I had a completely natural FET and my lining was ready by day 10, honestly my body worked so much better without being medicated.

@Lucy it was a medicated FET, before starting IVF my body was doing the job but since my first cycle it’s all over the show

I also had a similar experience to @Emily - my first FET my body was really slow to respond to the oestrogen pills & patches - only got to 6.2mm after 28 days on them. Currently on FET cycle 2 (transferred yesterday) and we changed protocol to low dose FSH (Menopur 150 per day) and in 7 days we got to where it took me 18 days last time. Then by day 9 I was 7.1mm. It has put me in a much better headspace being on a protocol my body actually responded to. I also prefer that this protocol is enhancing my natural cycle rather than overhauling everything like the synthetic oestrogen one. I also took L-Arginine. I was badgering my doctors to give me viagra too as I’ve heard/read good things, but they refused as they wanted to see how this protocol went without it.
