Mirena iud! It protected me for 6 years straight, I put it to its limit and once I tooo it out I got pregnant the next month, at first it’s tough with on and off again bleeding but after that I didn’t bleed anymore
I also have heard good things about the Depo shot. I will say one thing that I didn’t realize about birth control pills, is that once you’re an adult, you’re not supposed to take birth control pills if you smoke. It can cause cancer. I hope you find what’s best for you!
Actually I have Nexplanon and have for the last five years and it’s my favorite birth-control. I have tried many other forms. I would not ever recommend getting an IUD as they can get dislodged, which is what happened to me. The one thing about Nexplanon is that it can make your periods irregular but other than that it is by far my favorite birth control .
I would highly recommend an IUD, they last 5 or 10 years, if its the hormones you don't want. Go for a copper IUD - I had one in for 7 years and when I had it removed I fell pregnant straight away (same day) x x
I was on a low estrogen pill IUD mirena and the mini pill and loved them all. The ones with more estrogen made me gain weight soo I don’t suggest those
I get the depo shot. I’ve not noticed many side effects. The one I got is that I am always spotting. No big periods just never ending spotting.
I haven't been on birth control in probably 10 years. I took it for a few and then stopped when I was 20 and never went back on it. I have 3 kids and after every kid the doctors would talk to me about it but I just never did it. I dont like the effects I get from the pills and I don't like the idea of some foreign object being placed into me. That's just me though. I agree not to get your tubes tied because you are still young. My brother and his girlfriend were talking about this documentary, I can't remember the name though. But essentially it's about how bad birth control is for you and kind of like the things they don't tell you. Essentially pushing it on woman because it's easy to do so. I personally haven't looked into it much, but find it very interesting.
If you don’t like getting a period I recommend SLYND, it’s a forgiving bc pill where you have a few hours between doses if you forget.
Absolutely don’t get nexplanon. If you’re good with pills I’m currently on Apri and i like it so far. No issues at all.
Honestly, everyone reacts differently but my experiences… Nexplanon was a disaster. Weight gain, menstrual cycles, cravings, MOOD SWINGS. Thing made me think I was pregnant. I can’t even tell you how many women I know who have “lost” their IUD’s and had to have surgery. And if your man is on the rougher side, good luck😬 The Depo, again, MOOD SWINGS. I’d definitely find a pill form you like and put it next to your bed so you remember in the AM.
