Endometrioma

Does an endometrioma of 1.8 cm guarantee I have stage 3 or 4 endo? Does an endometrioma of 1.8 cm guarantee I have stage 3 or 4 endo? Also, I have low Amh for my age .97 ng - should I continue with a lap to remove and surrounding endo and have her leave the ones on my ovaries alone until I finish having kids?

I've done some research on this having just been diagnosed with an 2cm endometrioma on my ovary and blocked fallopian tubes. If you want to try naturally or with IUI, a laparoscopy could be an option if you're not looking to get pregnant right away and want to treat the endo. If your focus is on becoming pregnant and you can manage the endo symptoms, I would say go for IVF.

My Amh is so low I’m afraid to wait too long, how did you get diagnosed in your tubes?

I have practically no endo symptoms just want to be able to get pregnant just can’t afford it dropping my egg number any lower

Also scared of amh declining.. definitely so much time pressure. I would definitely avoid having the endometrioma removed. I've read from several sources it's only a potential issue if above 4cm and can result in poorer ovarian reserve. I guess it depends on where the endometriosis is present... If it's just on the ovary or elsewhere? I did a HyCoSy test to check my tubes. Dye is inserted into the uterus via a catheter to see if it flows through the fallopian tubes. If they are blocked, the dye won't flow through. I definitely recommend this test if you're getting pregnant naturally or with IUI.

If your reserve is an issue, egg freezing can be an option for you to consider. I have endometrioma too but was worried that laparoscopy would decrease my AMH so decided to try for a baby instead
