Gaviscon and Aspirin
My heartburn and reflux is killing me off and I bought some gaviscon as Rennies just arent doing the job. I am also taking aspirin due to being at risk of pre eclampsia, but have found out that you shouldn't take any heartburn remedies and aspirin together! Has anyone else been told otherwise?

I got prescribed omeprazole from the GP for the worst heart burn but not on asprin so I don't know if there is something different they can prescribe maybe
I'm prescribed lansoprazole and have been told that it's ideal to avoid aspirin where possible but that taking both isn't going to cause any serious harm. If you get any worrying side effects or are unsure then contact your midwife or GP and they'll be able to give you advice.
I’m taking both together just make sure I take the aspirin first and gaviscon a couple of hours later xx

I’ve been taking both as well. I didn’t realise we weren’t suppose to take them together. The heartburn is awful, feel like I’m burning alive from the inside 😭
