TW- Talk of weight loss

Hello guys, I’m hoping for some advice on weight loss. I have a three month old little boy & gained almost 5 stone during pregnancy, I think I’ve gained since too. A few years before pregnancy I lost around 7 stone so I know I can do it, but I’m just really struggling to eat right and exercise. I’m so tired I just can’t be bothered tbh, but it’s really getting me down now, none of my clothes fit and I just look huge 😭 Any tips would be so welcome x

If you only gave birth three months ago I think you are being harsh on yourself. Your body went through so much in nine months. I plan to take at least another nine after birth to be gentle with myself before thinking about my weight preferences x

I would say don't diet, but address your diet, eat as much unrefined and unprocessed food as you can. It's these two categories of food that are the problem and not just carbs or sugar or whatever else people try to convince you are bad! The ingredients that aren't healthy are the ones that can't pronounce/decipher on the ingredients list, so if you can't say it, don't eat it! As for exercise, each day try to do something that gets your heart rate up, at 3 months PP I did that by taking my son for a walk each day. Make those two things habitual - it may take a while but it puts you in a much better place to move forward from, you will loose weight slowly but you'll be preparing your body by making it really healthy. Once you've done that and the above is second nature then you can work on finding workouts and moving into calorie deficits which work, but only if you have a good foundation to come from and move back to after x

Give slimming world a try you could join then just follow from home once you get just of it iv been doing it on and off and lost 2 and a half stone since my baby also walking deffo helps, totally know how your feeling once your minds init the weight will fall off. Try filling your plate with a 3rd of veg & then your meat the weight will drop off you. Iv not tried calorie deficits as not sure how to work it out but what ever you decide is best for you, you can follow it all and tips & stuff on tiktok so much stuff on there. Xx

After i gave birth, i hated the way i looked too. But i did wait until i felt ready to exercise/lose weight. I started 5/6months after giving birth so my body felt healed. I started eating better, skipped lunch 🙈 as i felt i was only sitting around all day with baby anyway and dinner was a good size. I went on a walks as well as the long nap in the morning i did exercise. I've nearly lost all my baby weight round my middle and have been doing it for 5months now.
