Transitioning to the big boy seat

Our little boy lately has been hating being in his carrycot, he just wants to be nosey😅 We have tried this out today at home and he seems so content. Even though the intrusion says 6 months I have also read online that as long as they can hold their head is fine. I can lay this seat down so he won’t be sat up directly all the time. Just wanted to know if anyone has made the transition yet x

I’ve been considering it, as my LO hates the bassinet so we use the car seat attachment mostly. I have the same pram. You can buy new born padding which I may get so it supports them a little bit more x

I had this buggy for my toddler. I transitioned her to the big seat at three months. Like you already know, just keep the seat reclined a bit so he’s supported.

We changed at 12 weeks and my baby is so much happier now.. Back to enjoying walks again! He naps a lot in the pram so spends the majority of the time lay flat but loves looking around when he’s awake x

I've got the same buggy and I'm considering it as my little guy is getting too big for the carrier!!!

I have 2 of these prams as one was bought off marketplace for cheap ready for my holiday then mine isn’t getting ruined. I’ve already changed that to this seat ready as she will be 5 months and want to see more. I’ve used it to nip to the shops a couple of times when our other pram is in the car and my partners at work. I just keep her lay flat in it and used blankets so she felt more secure. She loved being able to see more than when she’s in the carrycot x

I changed my little girl into the seat bit on this pushchair i bought a newborn support attachment off amazon for her head even though she has really good head control just for peace of mind x

Yes! We have the same pushchair and we’ve just swapped at 12 weeks. He absolutely loves it now x

We have the same buggy and made the transition last week and our little one is 12 weeks on Thursday xx

I’ve just transitioned my 3 month old last week in to the big boy seat! He loves it! He hated being in the Carycot as he wasn’t able to see out when he was having longer wake windows xx

I think it's something to do with their hips as well, not just head control... As long as he's very reclined he'll be fine. Sitting up at 6 months

@Lucie do you have a picture of this in the buggy at all? I was thinking about changing from carry cot to seat and wondered if there was anything like this . Xx

@Lucie oh that’s looks brilliant. Thank you hun definitely going to order that x

Converted today and it was a huge success! Napping baby for a few hours, he was very relaxed

@Lucie I order the head support yesterday and it’s arrived will be using this from now on, looks so comfortable to be fair love how padded it is xx

We’ve just done this today and our girl is only just 10 weeks! We have ickle bubba too weirdly enough lol. It has 3 positions so flat, mid reclined and upright. We’re just using the middle and flat ones. She hates laying flat sooooo much x
