What's the best way to give gripe water for trapped wind? I've switched bottles to MAM and found that although these bottles are better, my daughter has really stubborn trapped wind that I can't get up no matter how long I try to burp her for ☹️
Never given gripe water before, would you recommend mixing it with the formula in the bottle or give it directly before/after the feed?

Learn more about our guidelines.I gave my daughter gripe water after her feed yesterday, I had a syringe I sterilised and gave it to her that way (she hated it so only gave her 3ml) just a bit easier than putting it on a spoon and giving it to her I found x
We give it to our boy through the teat of his bottle, take it off the bottle and use the calpol syringe to administer it. They recommend to leave 30 minutes after a feed to let them digest their milk before giving gripe water.
We use the Calpol syringe too, and it takes a little while for them to get used to swallowing it that way but they soon get used to it and it's been an absolute lifesaver
Thank you all! ☺️
I put it in her bottle, not every feed though x
I put it in the bottle on its own before feed. My LO didn’t like it from syringe or mixed in the milk
I bought 100 disposable sterile syringes on Amazon for about £12. Not v environment friendly but I couldn’t find one that could sterilise. If anyone has a link pls share.
Not sure of gripe water is helping , have also used infacol and more recently coleif
We just started putting it in the teat and it works great
If she takes a dummy I found dipping the dummy in and out works quite well!
