@Shannon ahh okay thanks for your advice! Its so hard to decide what to do as he isn’t fussy or crying or anything, he’s just literally spitting up, it probably bothers me more than him😂. I’m not sure if I should just let him get on with it rather than doing something that may disturb him🥹
You probably have already done this but do keep him upright and keep the bottle quite horizontal when feeding him? And keep him upright after the feeds for a little bit? Most babies have reflux because their valve between their stomach and oesophagus is quite weak so acid/food can come back up really easily! Obviously it’s completely your call, you could leave it and think about doing something if it starts bothering him or you could maybe try a little carobel and see how he gets on if it improves it?? If you do try carobel I’d also recommend using a bigger teat size as it makes the milk thicker so doesn’t come through the teat as easy x
Caribe works wonders for my little one, she had very bad reflux, but she’s 16 weeks now and isn’t sick any more x
We use carobel and it’s been a life saver! Little one is 15 weeks and we started using it when he was about 2 weeks, accidentally forgot to put it in a bottle the other day and was sick a lot so defo still needs it x
Aww okay, it seems to do more good than harm ill give it a try! Do u guys get it prescribed or buy it, if so where from?x
We got it prescribed but you can buy it from pharmacies, I’m in a bit more of a rural area so had to call around to find a pharmacy that stocked it so depending on how big your local pharmacies are maybe give them a call first x
@Indeya I buy it from Amazon, little one is on 7 oz and I put a full scoop in which isn’t much really, seems to thicken the milk just enough. It’s trial and error with the amounts, I know someone who puts 3 scoops in 7oz x
We have been using it for a good few weeks now and it has really helped my baby, she is still abit sick but no where near as much as she use to be and she use to cry when being sick with her reflux but now seems a lot more comfortable x
We changed from cow and gate to kendamil organic due to issues with pooing (not going for days) which helped a lot but our little boy was arching his back, every feed was a fight and he would scream! GP prescribed carobel for silent reflux and it changed instantly for the better xx
Awww happy thats its working for you all🥹 thanks for your responses, hopefully it will work, just waiting for the doctors to get back to me!x
So jealous of all you mums that have been saved by carobel 😭
@Lucy have you asked your GP to prescribe gaviscon or omeprozole? X
@Shelby yeah tried both 😔
@Indeya sorry to seem negative, hope it works for you 💕

Its okay😂, have you spoke to gps about tongue or lip ties, apparently they can be associated with reflux also
If it’s spitting up it might be more likely to be reflux! We tried carobel, our little one didn’t like it at all and I think it’s because it makes the milk a very different consistency. He refused any feed we tried to give it in. We also used gaviscon powder sachets in his milk which was amazing for helping the spit up! Highly recommend this. We’ve had further issues with his screaming in discomfort with each feed and refusing feeds for several weeks so we’re trying CMP free formula to see if it’s CMPA. Usually GPs go down the route of reflux first, and should prescribe the gaviscon if it seems like reflux. The only down side is our little one became slightly more constipated with gaviscon, we just lots of bicycle legs and tummy massages to try and help him with that x
