Circumcision gauze stuck to the skin. Can you share your experiences?

We have been trying eveything, soaking, Vaseline, putting very soaked water in the diaper for a few minutes etc. it’s so frustrating and stressful! I have reached out to some of you directly and you gave me great advise. Just couldn’t stop posting here. Worse case, I will take him back to the clinic. Circumcision was done by Dr. Pakes in Barrie.

We never had gauze. But I had to do soaks, so just enough water to cover the area could you do that for a couple mins to loosen the gauze ?

Warm water on the gauze let soak

Just the gauze with warm water you could put him in some warm water that’s what I did with my son found it easier

Great news everyone! This morning with diaper change the gauze came off itself. We soaked quite a few times whole day yesterday until late night and then put petroleum jelly directly on the skin (Dr. said on diaper only but when one of you recommended putting on his penis, I confirmed with the dr and he said we could try). Looks like overnight moisture made it loose. So relieved! Thank you everyone for your great support. Bless you all!

I always but it on the penis then you know it is on the effected area
