Yeast infection after transvaginal scan

Hi everyone, I had a transvaginal ultrasound on Friday and everything was great with the baby. However, I think I’m now got a yeast infection or thrush. I have clumpy white discharge that looks like cottage cheese. No other symptoms, no pain and no discomfort. I’ve spent the morning crying and blaming myself. Can someone please tell me this is normal? I’m going to ring the clinic and NHS 111. I’ve just been so upset thinking it’s my fault for wanting to check the baby is okay. Now I regret having the scan at all. 😭

Thrush is really common in pregnancy i wouldn’t worry at all! I would call your doctor and they can do you a prescription. Pharmacy will unlikely give you anything as when your pregnant it needs to go through a doctor! I had thrush and was prescribed a pessary and cream the same day, all is fine! x

Just get canesten duo pessary, it won't affect the baby.

Thank you both! I feel so silly for sitting here crying over something that is so common in early pregnancy. 🤣 trying to get on the phone to my doctor but it’s like pulling teeth haha. But will get them to prescribe a pessary probably later today/tomorrow.

That's ok it's very common, you don't need to be prescribed it, my midwife told me just to buy it from boots.

I have the same issue and my mid wife asked me to purchase canesten duo pessary from any pharmacy. I was week 8 then
