@Candice Oh fab thank you, as long as they still do it I’m golden. Whether they call it emergency or elective I’m happy. Best of luck with your second C-section 🥰 x
I have two friends who were due planned caesareans and went into labour early, one in April (2 days before my planned section) and one last week with twins. Both of them had a caesarean within a few hours after their waters broke. Also there’s 4 categories of caesarean, with 4 being elective and 1 being “threat to life” emergency. In this case I’d imagine it would be a category 3 or 2 x
I was told if I go into labour before my c section to ring the labour ward and they’ll have you come in and schedule you in for an emergency c section (they said they’d call it an emergency but it’s not technically an emergency, they just move you forward!) Xx
Yeah it just changes from a cat 4 to a cat 3 👍 they wouldn't force a vaginal birth if you're booked in for a planned c-sec
I went into labour a week prior to my elective section date. I just went to triage and I was put on emergency list. The most beautiful thing ever 💗 they will still honour c section!
I had my first daughter via csection early due to blood pressure. Currently pregnant with second baby & have a planned csection which they have booked in for 4 days before my due date. I have spoken to a few people as i was worried its so close to due date & going into natural labour. I was told its normal for it to be scheduled on the 39th week & if i go into natural labor then i can still have a csection but it will be classed as an emergency csection rather than elective 🤷♀️ x
