My baby was not in a good position.. Got to know the gender but many measurements were not satisfactory. It's scary when scheduled for remeasurement. I hope the next ultrasound is normal n i can start being stress free.
@Sneha I hear drinking orange juice 30 mins before the ultrasound might help the baby be more active and more likely to move around. My ultrasound was pretty early this morning and my next one is in the afternoon. I hope we both have more smooth ultrasounds next time!
@Savanna mine is at 7.45am.. I will have some juice or chocolate milk. I just pray that the measurements are right this time. I also hope you know the gender as that is big news. All the best.
Orange juice really helped me! Had my 12 week ultrasound today and just had half a bottle of Minute Maid orange juice about 30 mins before, baby was moving like crazy the tech said that was great (and not great and it made it difficult for some views) but she recommended me to drink it again for the anatomy scan in just over a month. They also just recommended anything sweet - sugar, juice, little bit of pop, fruit, etc.
Mine did this with my 12 week scan, I had to do all sorts of weird things to get baby to uncross their legs so the tech could measure it! Totally normal, babies will do whatever they want
Mine did not want to get their hand out of their face either. Tech just wanted a good dace photo and every single one showed their face being covered 😂
I had to go back because they couldn’t get a good pic/measurement of the spine. Second time was in and out very quickly. A bit of a hassle but we got another picture, and it wasn’t anything to worry about
both my kids did this. just stubborn babes lol
Yes, stubborn kids... N the wrong measurements of the brain and heart are stressful..

I had my anatomy scan yesterday. While she was trying to get the heart beat he did a complete 180 flip and wouldn't stop moving. Then the way he was positioned she couldn't get a clear picture of his heart. She had me get up and walk around for like 15 minutes. In that time he shifted and she was able to get the rest of the photos. Maybe next time if the same thing happens see if they will allow you to get up and move for a little bit.
Yeah I had to go back in and baby was in good position the second time. So it was very quick for me like maybe 10 minutes max the second visit
Apparently having sugar before should help!! I have mine in a couple weeks and at the last ultrasound my creature was NOT wanting to be disturbed from sleep 😂🥴 The nurse had me doing yoga poses and walking around trying to get it to move and it was just so sleepy. Eventually it moved around haha, she suggested skittles or juice 20 mins before my next appointment 😂
My baby did this with the fetal echocardiogram, and they just scheduled me to come back. Went fine the second time, he's just stubborn and doesn't move if it's a early morning ultrasound hahaha 😆 likes to sleep in like his momma.
