Sugar free drinks

Recently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and have been sticking to water as unsure what else I can drink, however I’ve been really craving Pepsi max and just wondering if this is okay to have as a little treat or would it spike my blood sugar levels? Thank you ❤️

I used to have a Pepsi max every couple of days as a treat x

But mainly lived on decaf coffee (no sugar) water and no added sugar squash x

I was ok with Pepsi max/fanta zero/lilt zero but I kept it to one can a day with my tea as a treat. For the rest of the time I had sugar free squash or water. X

Thank you ☺️ xx

I was told by the dietician that the "zero" pops like Coke zero are ok. I don't love them because I can taste the aspartame, but I share a can with my husband when I feel like I want to switch it up from water —I still usually have a glass of water with every meal, but I allow myself a few sips of something else from time to time and my numbers have been ok :) Depending on where you are, there are also some brands of zero sugar juices (I tried the Minute maid pink lemonade which also uses aspartame).

Pepsi max is sugar free isn't it?? I was having it regularly when pregnant was a treat to have the caffiene lol

Diet Coke Caffeine Free was my go to. I actually wasn't a fizzy drink drinker and haven't been since I had my boy but while I was pregnant it was genuinely all I fancied to drink! I kept my GD completely diet controlled and this was fine :) x

I did sugar free sodas or tea
