Baby carrier and sleeping

My husband and I are looking to take our month old on a road-trip in 2 weeks to see the fall foliage in northern NY. We tend to hike 8-10 miles a day and tent sleep. I know that we will have to do trail loops and go back to the car and find a place to sleep. Also, the little one is currently 7lbs 2oz. So we need 1) a recommendation for a baby carrier for distances and 2) a lightweight collapsible safe sleep place for him. Suggestions?

This is what we’re using in our pop up tent camper. Baby Delight Snuggle Nest... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFZGYXDS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I love the ergo360 carrier. Make sure to try it before! It has to fit your needs and be comfortable for you/your body - my husband and I use different carriers. For sleeping we used a baby nest. She doesn't like it at home but sleeps great in it when we're camping. Officially, they are not recommended for sleeping, though!

@Saskia I just bought the ergo 360 Omni off of Facebook marketplace. Thanks for the recommendation!

@Jennifer I will look into this bassinet. I was hoping to find something that will fit into our backpacks when we start backpacking with him but it seems hard to find.
