Bubble Bath/ Bath Soak 🛁

I’ve heard that pregnant women aren’t allowed to use bubble bath/ bath soak in their bath as it can be harmful for baby. Is this actually true or just a myth? I’m 23 weeks pregnant and have regular baths.

I’ve been having bubble baths since being in the second trimester and everything is absolutely fine with baby. Am 23+1 weeks pregnant💕

I’ve used it in both my pregnancies and my children are fine 👍I love a bath and probably have one most nights! ☺️ Just don’t make the water too hot! Xx

I never knew that 😅😅 I took bubble baths during my first pregnancy and I didn’t have any issues. If you are worried about it I’d suggest limiting your add ins to your bath to only epsom salt to help with aches but I think bubble baths are probably safe

i had bubble baths with epsom salts in daily throughout my whole pregnancy (about half that i would typically use) and my little one is absolutely fine! Xx

I use my little coco bath soak x

I always take baths with lots of oils and moisturizer. 2nd baby still not one stretch mark or problem

Ahh thank you guys so much!! I was pretty sure it’s a myth but just needed confirmation 🙂 xx

Just be sure it’s not too hot, otherwise no issue!

Can I ask you guys about mineral salts as I read it's not safe as can be absorbed in the skin xx

@Victoria hi can I ask what oils and moisturizer you use in the bath please

I was told by my midwife it’s absolutely fine ! Haven’t had to stop using anything for my baths. Love a bath bomb so I asked as I was worried. Lush do the most amazing bath bombs and they’ve been so helpful throughout my pregnancy both supportive and with products that have helped calm me ❤️

@Angela I was told they are fine ! But I’ve not used them as much I must say D; double check with your midwife :) xx

@Angela I used coconut oil almond oil and rose hip oil. Sometimes lavender oil. And I moisturizer with raw yellow Shea butter

Ok brilliant thank you I wasn't sure that oils are safe as so many conflicting info many thanks 🙏

Yep it’s safe. Your mucus plug is hard at work protecting anything from entering your uterus so it’ll be fine

I spoke with my OB and she said the only concern would be water temperature 💗 nothing “too” hot.

@Victoria oh if course I wa more wondering about absorption through the skin to placenta
