"Homeschooling" 1 year old

So obviously it's not formal Homeschooling, but I want to begin getting her in a routine before baby #2 comes. Here's some of my ideas and we do a lot of them already, just not on any routine. I was a K-5 special education and collab teacher prior to baby #1 being born. I'd love to hear some of your ideas and things you do or have done. Sensory Play (themed bins, hide and seek, matching) Reading (matching, books, flashcards) Math (matching, counting, shapes, colors, sorting, Number Blocks) Art/Music (Miss. Rachel & Jules, instruments, ???) Independent Play (busy boards, ???) Fine Motor (pinching/pincer grip, pop its, pompoms sorting) Gross motor (ball rolling/passing/throwing, balancing, pouring, pulling) Life skills (brushing teeth, pretend Play with baby and stuffies, mirror talk, body identification, washing face, wiping hands)

A huge majority of those things get cover while playing. The hardest part for me has been making and keeping a schedule that works for my life. I would focus on that the most

@Kwincy yes! The schedule is what I'm struggling with most

I started at 18 months. I don't follow this as gospel but I take weekly themes from kidslearningforlife.com I created a spreadsheet for 3 days of the week and pull out the activities I'm going to do. Some are too advanced for him so I take those out. In terms of schedule, it's 10 minutes here, 20 minutes there, but its the themes it makes it interesting for them. He's 2 1/2 now and it's the best decision I made.

I started with my toddler pretty early too. They are sponges so consistency is the key. Drill them in song like Ms Rachel but you can make up your own songs. Also, I use Canva to create my own learning flashcards and workbooks that have been a huge help. My 2-Years-Old is actually reading.
