Thank you for sharing this as I feel like it's just us going through this! My little one sat on the toilet for 10 minutes today with bubbles as she was showing signs of needing a poo. She didn't go and as soon as she came off the toilet she ran off and pooed in her knickers 🙈 😫
👋☺ Hi! Feeling safe and mastering the skill of pooping in the potty takes toddlers some getting used to! (...aaaand lots of practice) before they eventually become comfortable with pooping seated on a potty or toilet. You'll find so many valuable tips and helpful ideas in my potty training video series: "How to Get Your Toddler to go Poo on the Potty" !! Its free on my youtube channel and the videos are only 10 minutes and it really dives in to how to get your toddler to go poo on the potty!! 🙏 I'm here for you if you have any questions after watching the videos! https://youtu.be/wF7rHz_xXMU
Having the same issue! Doesn't help that my little ones poop is prettt mushy still so it get's prettt messy over here lol
Ive watched the video thank you ! I just wondered how do you actually get them to sit on the potty/toilet to go poo. My daughter knows when she’s going to poo and will not actually try on the potty. We’ve tried different reward offers but nothing convinces her. She wants is to put a nappy on - and we don’t want to force her in any way so pooing becomes a ‘thing’.
💗☺ Hi @Lyndsey it sounds like maybe you didn't have a chance to watch the video series in its entirety? Its a 4 part series. Heres the link to part 2 hun! I'm here to help in any way I can. https://youtu.be/sSYNzd4vcgs?si=DtmqWjSUszZiaJYh
@💗 Miss Jen thank you ! I hadn’t watched them all and actually the last couple were what I needed. We’ve taken away nappies, bought new stickers, given her choices, explored why she won’t (she doesn’t say….). We still aren’t having any joy yet - when we refuse a nappy for poo she’ll just hold it in, and then do it in the night. She out right refuses to even sit on the potty to try. Hoping in time we get there ?!
My little girl is exactly the same, she’ll be 3 next month. She has a nappy overnight and will always poo then. She’s not ready to be dry overnight so removing the nappy isn’t an option. It’s really hard to know how to tackle it - not like you can force them to poo ??
