My daughter favors dada but will say mama once every couple weeks if I’m lucky

My son went through a phase over the summer where he said dada first and then started saying mama. And then that all stopped and just babbles and screeches lol. He'll be one on the 13th.

Mine said it once yesterday lol and that was it

Mine knows how to say it. However, she will only say dada. I ask her to say mama and she looks at me straight in the eyes, smiles and says dada as loud as she can. Then laughs and crawls away lol. I’m also very jealous, but then I think it’s really great that she says his name a lot bc it means he spends enough of his time with her. Growing up from a single parent home that’s kinda nice to be able to give our daughter.

So I asked my pediatrician why he says words then won't for awhile and she says "oh they choose not to" like 🫠 oh okay.

@Neida my son does the same! He looks me dead in the eyes and YELLS dada 🤣 I’m like, I get it dude, let’s talk about someone else 😂

@Aili I tell my husband I’m convinced he knows he’s playing with me.

My baby is almost 11 months and all she says is “YEAH” and baby babbles

my daughyer says DADA 😭😭😟

My son used to say mama only when he cried. Now it's just dada or EJ (my fiancé). He will also call our dog, but no more mama

Same! Mine will be a year on the 9th and she’s only saying dada, like really good! She’s not saying anything else but she tries to sound out words like tree or fish. I’m constantly trying to show her how to say mama, and it looks she tries to move her mouth like mine but nothing comes out lol. But that’s really the only word she says. My mom says they will talk when they are ready. But I’m super jealous too lol 😅

Mine said dada for several weeks and now he only says mama.

Mine only says Mama 😂 he's only said Dada maybe once or twice, but pretty sure that was a mistake 🤣

My son only says dada. I know he can say mama because we got him on camera doing it about 4 months ago. Since then, he only says dada. Makes sure we hear him too by screaming it as loud as he can.

My son has very clearly said "okay" when I told him ibwasnt opening the door to let him outside. But he usually says YEEAAYEEAAAHHH, dadadada, gagaga, pppppfffff, daddy, and mamama. He also rambles "eigi" (korean word for baby, but it's totally just babbles). I think he may know daddy over mama right now hah.
