Birth week and Weight? 💙💙

Expecting twin boys in two weeks… and am having to have weekly growth scans as one twins growth/ weight is slowing/restricted. So far placentas are doing their job! Has any twin Mumma’s experienced this? Will maybe have to deliver at 35/ 36 weeks? Anyone delivered at these weeks… anxious at what weight/ potential medical intervention may be needed? xxxx

I’m the same as you, had 30 week scan yesterday, having mcda twin boys and twin 1’s growth has slowed down(gone under 3rd) so onto weekly scans and maybe early delivery they said. I’m quite anxious about it now and a bit scared they could bring them at 34 weeks. They’ve said at 32 weeks they will make a plan and have me some leaflets about steroids to read as said would need these and that they would prob be in NICU for few weeks.xx

This exact same thing happened to me, they stated that twin 2 had reduced growth from my scans and so I had to have weekly scans and Dopplers to check placenta was working etc. My girls actually entered the world at 35 weeks and 1 day (was always planned to deliver at 36 weeks anyway), as I was induced early due to me developing severe pre eclampsia. Twin one was actually the smaller twin (even though it was twin 2 who was measured as having reduced growth on the scans)🙄 Twin one weighed 5lb! And twin two weighed 5lb 5 oz. They didn’t need any kind of intervention or admission to neonatal after birth, both my girls were absolutely fine - just spent one night in the incubator as they struggled to maintain their body temp, which they said is completed expected of prem babies. We were discharged home when they were 3 days old!🥰xx

Had my twins at 36wk5d. I had weekly scans starting a lil after 20wks bc of my blood pressure, went to a high risk dr in addition to my regular ob dr. Twin A, baby boy, was 7lb4oz and twin B, baby girl, was 6lb6oz. She was born breech and had to be on oxygen right after coming out, but not for long. No intervention in the beginning and we went home after 2 days, but baby girl was admitted to nicu after being home 2 days due to not eating, too much weightloss, and her bilirubin numbers not going down. She stayed for 5 days and was under the light and had an iv under her numbers were down.

My twins were born at 36w1d, 6lbs 0oz and 4lbs 15oz, zero NICU time and we all went home 48 his later 🥰🥰
