Is anyone else child like this ?
My daughter recently started kindergarten, she hasn’t been to headstart or any of that, her teacher tells me that when she gives my daughter class work that she doesn’t do it, instead she draws a picture! Which she loves to color. I am trying to work on getting her to write more cause ya know you can’t color everything lol,

Right, it definitely takes a lot of adjustment! It’s been a lot adjusting for all of us lol, that’s what I was telling her teacher, I just felt a little way cause I thought she was telling me something was wrong with my child
If the teacher thinks something is wrong with that behavior I’d find that surprising. We can’t forget how old these kids are and where they are at with brain development. In my opinion, school is “training” them to be a certain way that goes against their instincts as kids so nothing is wrong if they don’t do it perfectly at first

Yea my son is the same, they’re little lol and if they have never had the structure of school, it takes a lot of adjustment!
