Tommee tippee prep machine!

What’s your opinion on the tommee tippee prep machine? I have been using it for a few weeks but my health visitor does not recommend it and she advised me to make each feed using the kettle.

I have one and have been using it for 6 weeks now, my health visitor told me to be careful as sometimes the water isn’t hot enough to kill bacteria apparently but she didn’t advise against it completely. my baby has been absolutely fine this whole time

Love my machine, especially in the night or when you need a bottle made quickly. X

I used one with my first and it was brilliant! I’ve had to stop using my new one with my second as it was making the milk so frothy!

@Sian if you put a couple of drops of infacol in the milk, it takes all of the bubbles away. I found that out when treating my girl’s colic xx

@Sarah I tried that and it wasn’t doing anything and making her worse 😢 I’m now using the nuby which is working much better. It’s a shame because I swear by them because it was amazing for my toddler x

I was always told they don’t recommend them by the HV but I stuck with it for my first born and also using got second born xx

I use but only on a night time and he generally only has one bottle over night - use your own judgement though :) x

I use it but it’s so frothy very annoying! Need to start using the kettle I think

@Emily the nuby rapid cool is brill! I stopped using the prep machine for that reason and I use the nuby instead 🥰

We stopped using it and use our rapid cool or just make bottles in advance as it gave our LB so much trapped wind due to the frothiness

Thank you ladies for sharing your opinion, mine does not get frothy unless I shake it to much. My baby boy has been struggling to poo and making lots of grunting sounds. He is not constipated though therefore, she said to try making his feeds using the kettle for a few days to see if it makes a difference.

Love mine. Hv said the same. You just have to make sure it's cleaned regularly. I think the advice comes from years ago when they weren't as good and the stigma has lasted
