My little girl had reflux when she was a few months old and when we ended up in hospital she got given omeprazole, we did 2 months of that and she was a lot better after that. Could that be an option for you? X
My daughter went through same with kendamil, spitting a lot, crying on pain, constipated, refusing bottle.I tried the goat version but still same. I changed on Aptamil classic and she is doing fine, still some spitting but because she is taking too much to eat. I was suggested to drop the ml’s for her by the doctor. Maybe you should try this before going on medicine? That what I was being told. Gaviscon is making the things more worse as mine was on it but we stopped giving her
Dropped the mls? Like the amount I’m giving him? At the minute he hasn’t drank as much as he normally does maybe taking 3-4oz. Usually takes 5-6oz
Mine is taking 5-6 oz which they said I’m overfeeding her 😅 but if I don’t give her how much she wants she will scream the house down…on Kendamil she barely was taking anymore 2 oz in the last days , screaming because was hungry but she was refusing the bottle, the milk was causing her that pain. I had to change and wash her every single feed, the spits on clothes/bed sheets where turning a orange, also to mention that she was getting cough toi. Sometimes the doctors are only to tick boxes as I ended up in emergency about 3 times and always different opinion … episodes of cry, overfeeding 🤷🏻♀️ also the GP said is nothing to worry but it really was.. she was spending even 3 hours crying in row. I did try almost everything even the idea of “dropping mls”but my girl wasn’t taking it as she wants her normal oz and she was not feeling full when I was dropping it . So I decided to change on different brand, is hard to find the right one
How much are you feeding and how often? I had similar issues and the doctor told me I was over feeding. Since I cut back he’s been an angel, feels like a different baby
Usually he feeds 5/6oz over 4/5hours 4oz at night wakes twice. My HV said he is perfect for weight and if he seems hungry feed him more 😭 It’s just hard to know what’s best
When my daughter was very little and in hospital she was on a quite a lot of medication, and had very bad reflux. I used to mix some regular cow and gate with the blue coloured one think it’s the hungry one. Half and half it and it honestly worked a treat, the hungry one just thickens it up a little bit so sits better in the stomach and if it’s really bad I used to just mix abit of gaviscon in it
