Totally normal mama, fun fact breastfeeding burns a lot of calories! Drinking a protien shake or having a piece of avacado toast or something with good fats and or protien to snack on during or after nursing helps curve that hunger and prevent that anxious feeling you might have❤ And I agree with Leah's comment, you are so beautiful! Give yourself some grace, you're still sharing everything you have with another human💞
Totally have this too. You actually should be eating lots of protein and fat and good carbs. If you don't your body can actually hold onto the fat and even store extra fat cause it doesn't think it's getting enough. It's so so hard though. Every time I've breastfed I've gained weight for this exact reason. It's not an easy balance. I'm leaning more and have only gained a small amount compared to my first.
@Leah thank you so much! I fully receive this. ❤️
I’ll be blunt because I had the same phase while nursing and someone did me the same favor. You need those calories because you are feeding a person and as long as you are feeding a person, losing weight will be very, very tricky unless you’re willing to do the workouts and eat more calories to burn and build muscles - in case you have time for that, it’s be the safest route. My tip: Be nice to yourself and lower your expectations because the second you’ll stop nursing, you will drop weight! Or when you’ll start weaning off, it’ll come down as well. Go for long walks, do a bit of cote training, start shaping your body, eat more protein and you’ll start loosing weight visually even if you might gain some in the beginning.
Also, about the hunger: eat before the feedings. You’re hungry because you’re burning calories like crazy while feeding. Try drinking milk before/while breastfeeding.
@Julie hey girl do you have any tips for loosing weight for someone who is not breast feeding please x
@Stefannie received & Thank you so much! Yup im going to make sure to have a snack ready to go.
It's a myth that you lose weight while breastfeeding. Eat what you have to to keep from starving and maintain supply.
@Leah burn more calories than you take in. Drink plenty of water ( good for anyone, honestly)
@Leah, I would say it depends on your level of activity. The best way I have seen so far is if you want to lose weight gradually, consider doing the 12-3-30 method. It’s easing you into sports. If your problem area is your tummy/booty, I’d suggest core training. Many women have struggled with that area, and their core is “swallowed” by the semi-bad habits of carrying a child (not saying you’re guilty). Another underrated thing is 15 minutes of daily stretches combined with inner breathing. It changes everything, including your metabolism. I hope that helps as a great starter. I like to do light workouts by Holly Dolke on YT. She just became a second-time mom and has exercises for her pre- and post-baby body.
Girrrrrrll you are so beautiful sorry just had to say I love your hair 💕💕 I’m sorry I have no tips on how to drop the weight 😭
