My Bubs does the same thing, still looking for an answer for this! It drives me insane
Itās called active sleep, itās normal
@Sophie Even if they are asleep and they wake up doing this? š
My LO does exactly the same, but it wakes her up! Might get one good sleep at the beginning of the night and then after that the thrashing begins and she only goes down again for an hour max
My LO is 9 weeks and is exactly the same. She had really bad trapped wind but we got to the bottom of this, it eased and then so did the thrashing around. However the past week she has started doing it again (no trapped wind this time though I donāt think). Weāve been to see an osteopath who has identified she has a slight neck strain from being breach and c section which could cause her discomfort when laid on her back for long periods. He also said about something called infant dyschezia which Iāve looked into and she seems to fit right into that box too!
@Chloe Iāve been thinking to go to one for my LO he appears to not even like to be sat on the lap for a long period of time either! Thank you for sharing this. He was a c section baby and a lot of his positions felt uncomfortable to me that he was in so maybe he was uncomfortable in the womb
@Sarah have you found anything that makes it better?
Iām really sorry, but I havenāt. Iāve been looking into it and I think my girl might have reflux!
@Nirvana š„° no I havenāt, Iām too scared - sheās yet to roll. She does go through phases where she likes to lay on her tummy (when on my chest) other times she seems to hate it. Does your little one sleep like that?
Yes he does. He was horrible with his gas when i had him on his back. Once i switched to sleep on tummy he has been 1000% better.
It could be gas/wing. I stopped eating food that gives gas⦠but what really helped was the sleep on tummy during naps only. During the night I made sure to massage baby, and swaddle swaddle swaddle so my baby felt comfortable
Iām going through the exact same thing and itās really catching up on me I dnt sleep I feel like absolute shyt
Iāve been to the doctors so many times they dnt give anything jsut say sheās colic
I feel like a reallr bad mum that canāt help her

@Mudeya A weāve been to the GPās who initially prescribed Gaviscon. We tried it for a week as per their recommendations and it didnāt help anything other than her spit up. They suspected CMPA and weāve just started Nutramigen. I donāt want to speak too soon but last night was the first night she hasnāt done this. Obviously she had other symptoms but not your obvious milk allergy ones I.e. skin rash. She seems more settled in the day too. Basically worth looking into if she has other symptoms too.
Can I ask what your symptoms were? My little girl hasnāt got a rash or anything either, but Iām running out of what else it could be!
My baby also does this, I find that holding her hands together on her chest helps calm her
Iāve changed her milk again from cow and gate to kendamil
Doctor said she has cradle cap but it wasnāt picked up by the GP initially, I treated it myself with coconut oil⦠I was Prescribed a cream called daktarin it has helped so far ! And in regards to her crying and always wanting to be held the doctor said to monitor her opening her bowl, if she is still unsettled after pooing then thier is a high chance itās her milk but if she is settled after pooing then itās jus constipation and will get better it self⦠thatās why I changed her milk as even after opening her bowls she is still crying; fingers crossed letās see how this goes, I hope this has helped you guys!! Iāve tried every drop for the colic pain but honestly finding the right milk is the only way it can get better⦠I donāt think any thing else helps
All we can do is try and see what works
I feel so bad for babies as they have really small stomachs and as mums we have to test and trial on them
