Blood clot after sweep
I had a sweep this morning and have been spotting since. It’s not been a huge amount so I’ve just been keeping an eye on it but when I wiped just now there was a blood clot. Wondered if anyone else has had this or if I should call triage?

Wouldn't be worried at this point but keep an eye on it. If you get heavier bleeding or bigger clots give them a call x

I remember some bleeding after my sweep but my labour started pretty much within a few hours
Wow that’s lucky. This is my fourth one and this is the first time I’ve had any bleeding from it and my downstairs department feels very tender 🤣 I’m thinking this midwife did a very thorough sweep lol, fingers crossed it results in Labour for me too 🤞

Possibly they’ve irritated your cervix or broken some blood vessels. Keep an eye on it and how you feel (wellness and temperature) as you have a slightly higher infection risk now.-
