Nail tech here it's perfectly safe. I'm going to get on my soap box here, gel lamps are safe. Unless you see an old fashioned one they are LED lights the same that are in your house, TV etc LED will NOT cause cancer or harm to the baby. Gel is considered one of the safer options as long as it's a reputable salon brand (opi CND etc) and not a home kit like Mylee. With acrylic and dip powders you need to be careful with the spread of bacteria and it is plastic that is bonded to your nails. Always make sure you go to a reputable salon and not a cheap salon as you can ask for their sanitisation practices and ensure all tools are clean where as cheap chop shops will not clean equipment and transfer blood, feces and other bacteria between clients especially when using dip powders and acrylics etc. Never once in my 13+ years in the industry have we ever had a brand tell us gel is unsafe for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers

@YazmynJade thank you so much!!

@Alexis no worries lovely just make sure you can see the tools are cleaned between clients and it'll be safe the ones where they have them just out on the desk I don't even want to begin to describe what's on those tools!
