Cradle Cap

Any good tips on this I looked up some but I’m so sad that this thing is making baby girl loose some of her hair 😩😩 some ppl tell me wash her hair every other day then I see everyday. Can use breast milk or coconut oil .. what is the best shampoo I use aveeno and 100% coconut oil to be honest in the beginning I was doing it wrong thought you had to wash her hair then apply little bit of the oil to the spots but didn’t know you had to wash it out 😩 so I may have made it a bit worse but and just moisturizing the dry spots every day without washing so i feel terrible but now I know not to do that !

Yes coconut oil worked first try for my baby and hers was really bad. Her pediatrician gave it the ok

Breastmilk and happy cappy both work. I used the “Happy Cappy” lotion and shampoo they also have daily shampoo and body wash. Happy Cappy Dr. Eddie’s Medicated Shampoo for Children, Treats Dandruff & Seborrheic Dermatitis, No Fragrance, Stops Flakes and Redness on Sensitive Scalps and Skin, Cradle Cap Brush Not Needed, 8 Oz https://a.co/d/8ZCYoQw

I read some really bad reviews about some of the shampoos that their babies lost their hair and broke out in rashes so it scared the crap out of me to use any especially since most have a bunch of ingredients that I don’t know what they are. Unrefined Coconut oil is natural and can be used for so many things from cooking with, taking away rashes and moisturizing skin to putting it in your dogs food or on their coat to make them healthier and shiny. It’s one of those things that has so many benefits for pretty much everything. I used the organic great value one in the big tub. I hope this helps!!

I use the above for wash and condition, and I use the oil right after washing and conditioning her hair. Her hair or my first have not fallen out at all. I also use the baby brush after I use the oil

try the mouse by mustela - rub it into your babies hair and then use the mom frida cradle cap brush. My babies scalp turned around in honestly 1 day https://www.mustelausa.com/products/foam-shampoo-for-newborns?variant=33920873562248&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&g_network=x&g_productchannel=online&g_adid=&g_keyword=&g_campaign=SB_Shopping_Smart_AllProducts&g_adtype=pla&g_keywordid=&g_ifcreative=&g_acctid=441-259-9806&g_adgroupid=&g_productid=shopify_US_4972101959816_33920873562248&g_merchantid=103048130&g_partition=&g_campaignid=18038861498&g_ifproduct=product&gad_source=1

We’ve tried a millions of things and finally found a good mixture to the point it’s almost gone. The best is a silicone baby brush during bath. Products were tubby Todd cradle cap and mustela cradle cap. After we use coconut baby oil & baby oil. Our pediatrician mentioned use the oils before bath and let it soak in to loosen the flakes before bath. We also did lose a little hair right at first, which is normal. It grows bath fast. Don’t worry.

I was using coconut oil and used olive oil but my pediatrician said not to use them because they are edible oils and fungus (which causes cradle cap) can feed off of these oils so I switched to mineral oil and within 2-3 uses I can see a huge difference

The only thing that helped my little one was brushing his hair/ head. We brushed it off.

The mousse and cream by mustela has been working for my LO as well

I wouldn’t wash every day since washing dries out hair/skin. I only bathe my baby once a week idk why people give their baby a bath every single day. When she poops I usually clean her butt in the sink to prevent diaper rash and to keep her clean.

Breastmilk cleared my son's up in 2 washes

I just use coconut oil it did the trick
