Yes, we are in speech therapy for it. He says the minimum amount of words they expect and because he's not saying certain sounds they're concerned. He also has a NICU history so that's a factor
We did take the Chupie (pacifier) away from him going on 3 weeks on Monday. He’s starting to talk lil by lil not full sentences yet.. we have him in speech therapy with the CVRC he just started about a week ago my oldest didnt talk till he was 3 my middle child started talking at 2 years old.. he’s also in early head start..
@Corrin my son understands some ASL but he hasn’t signed yet.. my son’s speech therapist is a sweet lady her name is Diane .. my son hasn’t warmed up to her just yet since she only came to the house once … he does watch a lot of educational sons he like Gracie’s Corner ,Ms. Rachel and Cánticos ..
Yes my son did speech therapy which helped a lot he prob says about 30 words now
My nephew did the same thing 9/10 he knows a lot more words than you think and he just is deciding not to use them yet. My nephew just mysteriously started using full sentences one day after only saying maybe fifteen words regularly. Songs for littles is always a great tool if you’re wanting to encourage learning and if you’re really worried about it check with your pediatrician. Good luck mama ❤️!
