@Rebeka thank you! She has diarrhoea too! It’s so horrible seeing her like this. Absolutely exhausted too from staying up all night and not being able to put her down at all. She’s not touched her milk either
Strange isn’t it, I was surprised with the bad tummy because they didn’t have rota virus this time and I thought that’s what caused it. I’ve read a lot of mum groups that say these jabs and the 13 month ones are the worst, so although it’s horrible atleast you know it’s quite common for them to struggle. If you’re worried about her you could always ring 111 for advice, they can sometimes have adverse reactions (although it sounds completely normal) xx
This is not good to read! My lo has hers on the 22nd December and I don’t want them to ruin Christmas too much!
@Antonia same but yesterday I called and am delaying them until after Xmas I don't want to ruin the day for him 😞
@Antonia they all react so differently, mine was a little unsettled the next day but fine (just to give you hope haha)
@Amy I might change it to the week between Christmas and new year. I’m no so bothered about it ruining the day for her because she won’t know what’s going on or remember it 😂 but I don’t want it to ruin everyone else’s day (we at at my parents house with lots of family) with a very grumpy baby because she will be bad enough with the over stimulation and over tiredness let alone with feeling rough after her jabs on top of that 🙈
@Antonia doesn’t necessarily mean your little one will react the same way, like I said mine was fine with the first 2 and I’ve seen other mums say theirs reacted to those jabs! They are all different x
@Rebeka @Lucy thanks, I’m so torn. She was great after her first but she couldn’t have the rotavirus at them because she had diahorrea because of milk issues and they didn’t want to make things worse by giving her the rotavirus. The second ones she didn’t eat properly for 3 days afterwards but she has rotavirus then and she’s got rotavirus at the 16 week ones too so I’m just unsure what to do.
@Antonia if your family are good with the baby then I’d be tempted not to reschedule. My LO had hers the day before travelling to her grandparents. We had a really terrible evening with her (similar to Katie basically) and I was so worried she was going to ruin the weekend. But having her grandparents there to hold her was actually a godsend. Meant that me and her dad could get a bit of a rest!
@Anne-Marie my parents are great with her (we will be staying with them) and my sister and brother in law have a 2 and a half year old and a one year old so they are also great with kids and their eldest loves giving her cuddles, it’s just my nan that can be difficult sometimes but we will only see her Christmas Day. I might just do it and get it over and done with 😂.
Aghhh I’m dreading them. My girl was like this after her first jabs (had a really high temp and screamed all night even after calpol) so when it came to her 2nd I had 3 panic attacks that day and she ended up being totally fine for those ones. I knew the 16 week ones were probably going to be an issue since she reacted to the first ones but hearing it’s worse is breaking my heart and terrifying me 😭
It’s been over 24 hours now and she’s still no better and I’m beyond exhausted she won’t even let me put her down to go to the toilet. Had to sit up and hold her all night
My little boy really struggled with this lot of jabs, he was fine with the other 2 but slept a lot and everytime he woke he cried! it lasted for about 2 days. He also had diarrhoea. I think it affects them more the older they get as they’re more aware. Hopefully it eases off in the next day or so for you xx
