So it doesn’t have to be instant bleeding when you do get the injury it can come later on during the day ?

Mine came fairly quickly, I had a night exam and I noticed it the following day on my trip to the loo, but between the trauma from the exam and sexual activity I wasn't surprised when they said it was a bleed from the skin because the speculum really did hurt. Like I say tho, I spoke to triage the second I found it because I went full panic mode, they checked me over and looked at my photos and all was well. I even declined another internal exam and they understood because I was still sore and all the other checks came back perfect so there was no concern that raised the need for another internal. It was actually around this time that an internal showed strep b for me without symptoms (other than the pain I went in for the first time) so it suited well to actually have gone in as often as I did

you should call your maternity unit to get checked out. any blood loss in pregnancy should be checked
