Xonvea on NHS?

Has anyone had any success in getting Xonvea prescribed on the NHS? I'm currently planning a second pregnancy and I'm likely to suffer HG again so just trying to do as much planning and prep as possible. It would seem madness not to be able to get it since it's the only MHRA-approved medication that is specifically indicated for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy.

I got a prescription but no pharmacy had it on their system! The pharmacists were bewildered and had never heard of it. Only option is to pay for a private prescription and get it from the private pharmacy but it was quite spendy.

Thank you @Natalia, I thought that might be the case.

I had it, boots were the only places that were able to get it. Also if it’s a prescription, the pharmacy should order it for you, even if they’ve never heard of it. It just might take some time.

I have a private prescription and my pharmacy has been able to order it within a day. Best to call around different pharmacies and ask as the doctor did say it’s hard to get hold of.

I got it through my consultant, GP wasn’t able to prescribe it and said “because it’s too expensive for the NHS”. You can also get it online if you are willing to pay 😅

I had it prescribed by the hospital so my Gp had no choice but to continue with it. I get a months supply and call up a week in advance to order the next months as the pharmacy normally takes a few days to get it in.

Thanks @lola that's really helpful to know. X

I got it on the NHS from my GP and never had any problems getting a it from my pharmacy (Morrisons).
