You times kg by 2.2 to get pounds, then every 14 pounds is one stone. So its 25.08lbs, which is one stone (14lbs) + 11.08lbs leftover. So 1st 11lbs rounded. If you use a calculator instead, you'd divide 25.08 by 14 and get 1.7914 stone - note this is only in stone because it's not metric! To get stone and pounds you take off the one stone you got to get 0.7914 leftover, times by 14 to turn it from stone to pounds = 11.08 to two places, just like before. So 1st 11lbs The easiest way to check the weight gain is to plot it on the chart in the red book (or on an app - we use baby tracker) and see how it matches up vs the centile lines over the two points.
