I have the Tutti Bambini Oscar chair and it’s lovely and comfy. My 2yo loves to play row row row your boat on it 😂
i have a kub rocking chair with a glider! the chair reclines to different settings i love it!xx
I’ve bought the Obaby High Back Rocking Chair. Really struggled to find one I liked as most seem to be low back chairs and I was dead set against a low back chair as the last thing I am going to want at 2am is to sit there in a chair with no support and a lot of the high back chairs are gliders which just remind me of something you’d find in a retirement home 🤷🏼♀️
@Jessica i was looking at the same one exactly for the same reasons! How do you find it comfort/padding wise? The cushioning looks rather thin/stiff on pictures. Any pros/cons from your experience will be much appreciated! 🙏
For those who already have a nursing chair, this is probably a silly question but is it best to have it upstairs in the bedroom or downstairs? Just trying to work out whether I can fit it in. Thanks!
@Aitana I find it comfortable there is quite a bit of padding and the arms are a good height so I feel it’ll be good for resting my arm on for feeding.
Thank you very much @Jessica! 🙌 Last question, does it feel like there’s enough space around your body for the nursing pillow/support pillows? (I’m quite short, the arm rest will def be a bit too high for me regardless of the chair) @Kate I personally think it depends on 1) where you are doing the nappy changes, nursing room or several spots, and 2) where will you be most comfy when soothing the child at 3am + motions to get them back into the bedside cot/+6months old cot I’m personally putting it in the nursery as it makes most sense for changing table, white noise machinery etc However it will come down to how noisy the child is and whether it’s best for the other parent’s sleep to do midnight soothing further away from the bedrooms
@Kate we have ours in the nursery as this is often where we will be for late night soothing, we are 3 floors in our house and the nursery is on the middle floor at the base of the stairs to our room so it’s far enough away that it should minimise disturbance for my husband but close enough to our room still. We also like the idea of it being away from everything else that for day feeds there’s no chance of bubba getting distracted by the goings on of the household. It’s a personal choice I think, very much a case of what works for you, your home and your family
@Aitana thank you, that's a good point about how noisy the baby is! Food for thought...🤔
@Kate we have ours in the nursery. I just used a breastfeeding pillow when I was feeding downstairs in the early days, and I would stay in bed and feed at night. We probably didn’t use it all that much in the first 6 months but it came into its own when we were doing more of a bedtime routine around that age. It’s lovely to read books in.
We have a mamas and papas one and it has served us well for 2.5 years!
I really like the look of Tutti Bambini nursing chairs. Unsure on the back support but I’ve seen all good reviews, and a fab price considering the foot stool comes with! Never had one for my daughter, as we lived in a small house but this time I’m having one ❤️ https://www.tuttibambini.com/jonah-rocking-chair-and-foot-stool-pebble.html
