I’m between the Tommee Tippee prep machine and the Baby Breeza one. Had no idea they aren’t recommended by NHS as I’m sure nearly everyone uses them now
We used it with our first and will probably use it again if we use formula. I feel like a lot of people use them and I’m pretty sure even nurseries use them! You can always switch to a different method if you notice it doesn’t agree with little one’s tummy or something. And yes we used Mam bottles with it last time x
I’m getting bought this from a friend so yes will definitely be using it I’ve only ready and heard good things about it and also my friend uses them in her nursery
Oh for sure, used it for the last and it saved us!
Haven't heard that it's not recommended but it won't put us off given the good reviews and experiences of everyone we've spoken to so far - we've bought one and debating a 2nd upstairs for the night feeds!
I'll be using mine swore by it with my first and she's been fine
The NHS has actually changed the guidance recently, they now say if you use one just to double check it reaches 70 degrees for the hot shot. I’ve got one for this time too as I loved it last time
I wouldn’t. I’ve seen so many that get clogged up with mold and you can’t clean them properly. I’d just get a bottle warmer for night feeds, that what we did with our last 2 babies and will be using again and it was fab. Also seen so many do videos showing that it doesn’t reach the right temp for the hot shot x
Yep had one upstairs and one downstairs. Best thing I ever invested in 🤣 also used with mam bottles. I cleaned it regularly and set alarms to do it on the schedule recommended, also descaled it regularly. If you are worried yours isn’t reaching the right temperature you can test it. X
@Katie ah so they have, I hadn’t realised, thank you!
Thanks ladies I think you’ve convinced to get one again! Does anyone know if there’s much difference between the day & night one and just the standard one? Is it literally just the light on it? Just trying to work out if it’s worth paying the extra x
I think the beep is quieter on the day and night, I got it on offer for less than the normal one a few weeks back! X
I won’t be using one, everything from the nhs is evidence based and backed up by research. There is a reason formula needs to be made with water above 70d and I just don’t think it’s worth the risk with a newborn… might be fine when your baby is older.
They seem to change their minds alot about lots of different things how can It of been ok one minute but now it isn't I use the premade bottled formula for the first 3 months as that is what I was recommended by my previous midwife and health visitor so will do that again then will be using my prep machine like I did with my first LO

@Katie if you use a bottle warmer does that mean you pre-make bottles? If you do, how do you do yours because I know it’s not really recommended by nhs but I’m considering doing it x
@Katie no I don’t pre-make them. Once they’re sterilised I just use fresh boiled water to how many oz for the feed, add the formula when (when it’s feeding time) then add it to the warmer for around 4 mins xx
@Katie I see! Thank you xx
My mam and my sister swore by them so as long as it’s kept up with the filters, I don’t see an issue🤷🏼♀️ I’ve got mam bottles too so I’ll give it a go. Mam bottles also fit in the tommee tippee steriliser!! X
Also does anyone know if you use Mam bottles with it? I assume it would be fine but we used Tommee Tippee bottles last time so never tried it with Mam bottles
