Stopping Colief

Our little boy had colic and the main thing that helped hugely has been using colief drops. We tried to slowly remove them this week (halving the drops as recommended) as he is noe just over 4 months but a few days in, he seemed really unhappy again and struggling with wind. Has anyone else had similar? We don’t know whether continuing for longer on the drops is a good idea - is it stopping him learning how to deal with gas etc?

We’ve found our little one only needs it in her evening feed. Could you try something similar? Is there a particular feed where he gets fussy?

We used it with our first and found we couldn’t drop it until we started weaning at 6 months x

@Jamie good point! Tended to be evening and then the following morning that was worse! So maybe leaving those bottles particularly may help!

@Jenna ahh fab okay! And did you just come off gradually and found baby was okay? Are they okay with digesting foods etc ? Xx

@Kelly yeah we just followed the weaning instructions on the label and worked well. No issues with food or digestion at all and he’s now two x

@Jenna okay great thanks. That is reassuring to know! Hopefully it will be the same for us then! X
