@Christi he’s 17 months next week, I’ve been grabbing his hand and saying no don’t hit mummy but it’s not working 😅
Awww sweet baby! 😂🤦♀️That’s about when it started for us. Unfortunately my son is three and he still comes up and hit me and then runs away and laughs. 🤦♀️😂
My girl has started this, I think it could have come from nursery as she has started throwing herself on the floor, slapping and headbutting.. tantrums galore in our house
My 17-month-old is doing exactly the same thing (I’m usually the target, but another toddler got hit yesterday 😰, as did my mom 🤦🏼♀️) I’m a teacher and have been home with her for the past few weeks, which is when I noticed this behavior take off, which makes me worry that I’m doing something to teach/provoke these behaviors - I worry I’m not disciplining her properly. (She did also start walking around the same time, so maybe she just thinks she’s a big kid and is able to be in charge lol)
She has also been very bossy, even with her stuffed animals 🙈She used to just hug them and wrap them up in blankets or “read” stories to them, but now, while she still does the previously-mentioned things, she often yells “sit down, stop, no!” At them. That makes me wonder if she learned it from daycare.
She also get mad if I try to read her a book. She snatches it from my hands and yells “meee!” Then she proceeds to looks at a couple of her favorite pages and tosses the book aside. Is this normal?
My son did this, I would grab his hands gently and say NO! That hurts mommy, Mommy doesn’t hit you. It’s just a phase. How old is he?
