My son does this. I think it’s infant dyschezia. I stopped infacol as wasn’t making a difference. It apparently passes in time as they get used to pooing x
Both my babies have done this, and it’s nothing to do with colic or straining for a poo (despite lots of people telling me that’s what it *must* be). It’s really annoying and kept us up at night - but it does get better and goes away as they get bigger (my baby is 10 weeks now and while it hasn’t completely stopped, it’s definitely been getting less and less since around 6/7 weeks).
Mine does this too (7 weeks) it’s annoying as it does seem to often wake him up 😭
Our little one (4 weeks) does this too and is so restless. Hates being in the moses basket. We bought a sleep sound with white noise and lullaby’s which worked and have to rock her back to sleep, sometimes this takes ages, like an hour. We basically just do anything we can to calm her down before putting her down again, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t! But I’d encourage you to try all things you can as each baby is so different !!
It’s active sleep. Very normal. Have a google.
It’s very normal but i’ve found laying my baby on her side and patting her bum to get her to sleep helps and then lay them on their back once asleep obviously don’t leave them on their side unattended tho 🥰
It’s completely normal. My daughter didn’t have it but my son was grunting like there was no tomorrow 😂 he’s 7 weeks now and it’s eased off massively over the past week
Mine is 7 weeks and I’m desperate for it to stop… keeps me up from 4am every day 😭
Yep mine does it till he's in a deep sleep
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 sounds like most babies do, even mine at 7weeks stil mks the noise, I concluded she us an active sleeper just hoping it stops at sm point
12 weeks and still grunting ☝️
The paused breathing is normal per my pediatrician. As long as they breathe once within 8-10 seconds I believe was what she said was safe. My son was never happy being swaddled though so maybe it’s part restlessness too? They’re just learning a new body and new environment ☺️ Edit to add: maybe a sound machine could help baby or daddy?
