I was given one at hospital. It was definitely useful
I really liked it and used one in both my labours. It was most helpful for my first where all my contractions were in my back and the TENS machine was a great distraction. Doesn't work after a while though when things really ramp up but was handy at the start. I wouldn't buy one, just rent it. I recommend the Elle TENS one with the boost button.
Thanks everyone. @Caroline I've been recommended the Elle tens one by someone else too, and I can rent that one, so think I'll do that!
Mine helped me massively. I bought it from boots for about £45. Currently expecting my second and was thrilled to find it still works! So worth the money in my opinion.
They helped for the early contractions/hours with my second while my midwives irritatingly told me over and over they've never seen worse contactions 😡😂 babies head was stuck turned with both births I later learned I've a narrow pelvis maybe from having knock knees? Idk but if it worked for awhile for me I think definitely recommend 😂
I bought one from boots, I found it helped 😊 my partner was in charge of the tens machine, every contraction coming I'd use the gas and air and then he knew to turn the tens machine on xx
I had a unmediated water birth and the tens machine really helped me until I got into the pool. I got one from boots where you press a button and it ramps up when you have a contraction! I’d definitely recommend xx
