No idea but I’d get checked if you’re in pain lovely, especially if you’re pregnant

@Sophie thank you, I'm 5 weeks pp but waiting at walk in centre to be checked now

I’m glad, Hope everything goes okay

Never seen anything like that, get checked by your doctor

Piece of retained placenta? Never seen anything like it

@Ali no as it's squishy and a bit of it came away when I touched it 😬

@Bruna I'm waiting to be seen now but might have to leave as my baby is EBF and is screaming at home apparently 😭

See if baby can be brought to you to be fed xx

@Jade sorry I know you're trying to help, but loads of people are coughing like crazy in here and I don't want her getting ill 😭 x

This looks like the placenta

I had something similar, but this is a different colour. If you don’t get it checked today, I hope you do soon enough.

Looks like placenta. You need to get checked, if it all didn't come out at birth, you might end up with complications.are you still bleeding? My sister had some placenta 'forgotten' after C section and ended up in theatre 6w pp with heamorage

Oh god how is the pain now? Don't go home just in case more is in there and in case of infection and stuff. Bless you. If you're still there flag a nurse and tell them it's urgent, you are getting more and more pains down there and you think you're infected. Can you pump some milk into one of their bottles from maternity unit? Get someone to collect it and get a change of clothes so baby can have your top and have your smell for comfort whilst you are being seen x

@Kayleigh what was it you had in the end?

@Lenka I'm not bleeding now, but got a weird deep pressure

@Tiffany it's more of a deep pressure down there atm weirdly X my partner has managed to get baby to sleep for a bit so hoping she'll stay sleeping until I can be seen;

Never seen anything like this but I hope you’re okay!!

Aw jeez you're still waiting? Have you called maternity triage? I'm sure you should be able to be seen there at the hosp fairly quickly for post birth stuff, til about 6 weeks pp? And if baby wakes and needs you she can be there too it's not usually full of ill people like the walk in centre... I hope you're sorted v soon!! Xx

@Tiffany I called them up but they said they wouldn't see me at 5 weeks pp and had to go to walk in centre, which is over 5+ hour wait time and I just can't do that with a newborn who needs feeding :(

Omg I'd be doing my nut in, what hospital was it? I'd quite happily turn up there and say this is an emergency. I'm not recovering because of the care I received from birth. Unacceptable. In the mean time all sorts could be happening down there!

@Tiffany tell me about it! My poor baby is at home upset, my boobs are about to explode as she hasn't fed so it's affecting my supply! I'm in Milton Keynes x

I would be ringing them back and checking what is the cut off for the post natal care in triage and where you can find that in your notes because up to 6 weeks pp there is a risk of maternal death and I don't know why they wouldn't be taking that seriously... lay it on thick n say you're getting dizzy

@Tiffany apparently 28 days post partum is when they stop seeing us 😭

Could you get milk expressed for your LO and try to have her drink from a cup while you are waiting so that she can still eat

This could be really serious. I think you need to visit A&E and take baby with you for feeding. I totally get your concerns about baby being around sick people but I think the risk of something happening to you not getting this seen to asap is probably greater than the risk of baby catching anything (or at the very least anything worse than a cold) from the waiting room. I hope it all turns out OK! Let us know how you get on.

As you just had a baby i would guess it could be retained placenta tissue

Hope everything is okay x

I had this, was retained products of conception (RPOC) in my case it was placenta. Feel free to message me

Let us know how you get on at the doctors

Thanks everyone, will update when I've been seen😊

I had this when I had a medical miscarriage! When they were operating, they’d left something inside, which eventually came out (9 months after I had originally gone to hospital)

@Lucy oh wow that's awful :( I didn't have anything inserted in me, as was natural with just gas and air so assume it's something from my buddy, not external x

Could be some retained placenta , hope you managed to get checked over x

Looks like old tissue/placenta. I had this when I had medical management for a miscarriage and tissue was left over. Had to have surgery to remove it all. Hope you’ve now been seen and got your answers?xx

Hey everyone thanks for the comments! It turns out it was retained placenta and they did a ultrasound and speculum and can't see any more luckily! Waiting for a letter for a follow up scan in a few weeks just to make sure :) x
