Constipation

My 7 week little one seems to be constipated most of the time!! To the point he's not sleeping through the day much and isn't sleeping at night at all. He strains until he goes bright red, he cries and he looks like he's in pain. I've tried infacol, gripe water, reflexology, bicycle kicks, the tube thing putting it up his bum and everything in between. I'm in the process of registering with the gp but I'm new to my area and he's not registered yet because I have to register first apparently. I'm at my wits end, does anyone else have this issue? Or any advice?
